Junk Galaxy will donate $500 to support breast cancer research

While Junk Galaxy is the leading junk removal company in East Tennessee, we are also fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, and friends, and that’s why are passionate about promoting breast cancer awareness in Knoxville.

Breast cancer is currently the most common cancer globally, accounting for 12.5% of all new annual cancer cases worldwide. According to the American Cancer Society, approximately 13% (about 1 in 8) of U.S. women are going to develop invasive breast cancer in the course of their life.

Promoting Breast Cancer Awareness in Knoxville

Every October, the Junk Galaxy team switches up uniform colors to bright pink, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In the photo above, Eric (left) and Piersen (right) display the special Junk Galaxy Breast Cancer Awareness shirt.

Breast cancer affects all of us, in some way, shape, or form, and that’s why Junk Galaxy raises money for breast cancer research and brings supports breast cancer awareness in Knoxville. 

“We are making a $500 pledge to the National Breast Cancer Foundation while joining the many other great local businesses that are advocating to increase breast cancer awareness in Knoxville,” says Junk Galaxy Founder Aaron Crecy. “We will donate $10 from every job in October to this cause in order to reach this goal.”

Breast Cancer Education and Free Screening

The National Breast Cancer Foundation is a U.S. breast cancer organization that promotes breast cancer awareness and education. It also provides free screening services and supports breast cancer patients and survivors.

“We chose the National Breast Cancer Foundation due to the organization’s incredibly important mission and the fact that it is one of the most recognized and respected breast cancer charities in the world,” he explained. In fact, NBCF has received the highest 4-star rating by Charity Navigator, America’s leading charity evaluator, for 16 years. On average, 80% of NBCF’s expenses are directed to its life-saving programs.
