Why Junk Galaxy Is the Right Crew for Hot Tub Removal

Hot tub removal is one of those jobs that people underestimate. It’s not just lifting something heavy off a patio. There’s disconnecting the electrical, draining the water, cutting the unit down if it won’t fit through the gate, and then actually hauling several hundred pounds of fiberglass and foam out of the yard without damaging the fence, the deck, or the lawn.

We’ve handled this kind of removal more times than we can count, across the Greater Knoxville area and beyond, and we bring the right equipment and the right crew every time. No guesswork, no improvised solutions, no calling back to say we need another day.

What we also bring is a straightforward approach to how we handle what leaves your property. Where parts of the hot tub can be recycled, we take that extra step. The rest is disposed of properly. You don’t have to think about any of that. You just get your space back.

What Makes Hot Tub Removal Complicated

A lot of homeowners start down the DIY road on this one and change their minds pretty quickly. Here’s what actually goes into a proper removal:

This is not a job that goes well with a couple of friends and a rented truck. It goes well with a crew that has done it dozens of times and knows where things tend to go wrong.

What the Process Looks Like

You don’t need to prep anything or move anything out of the way. We handle every step.

Rated 5 out of 5

I bought some used furniture from them. They delivered it to me. The two gentleman that delivered were so nice, respectful and pleasant that it was very noticeable to most delivery people that I deal with.

On Budget and Timeline

We know that hiring a crew to come in and tackle something this size comes with real questions about what it’s going to cost and how long it’s going to take.
Hot tub removal carries a flat rate because the job has predictable demands, and a flat rate means you know exactly what you’re paying before we show up. There are no add-ons once we’re on-site. The quote we give you is the number on the invoice. For a job this size, that kind of certainty matters, and we think you’ll find the price fair for what’s involved.
Most hot tub removals are a half-day job. We’ll give you a clear arrival window, work efficiently without cutting corners, and be out of your yard before the day is over. If your job has any unusual factors, like a particularly large unit or a tricky access situation, we’ll flag that when we assess and adjust the timeline accordingly. No vague answers, no showing up late without a heads-up.

How We Handle What's Left Behind

Not everything that comes out of your yard ends up in a landfill. Hot tubs are made up of several materials, and where those materials can be separated and recycled, that’s the route we take. The shell, the insulation foam, the cabinet panels, and the mechanical components all have different disposal paths, and we know which is which.

This is part of how we operate across all our removals, and it’s something that matters to us beyond just being a selling point. The Greater Knoxville area is home to us too, and responsible disposal is part of doing this job well.

FAQs About Hot Tub Removal

You don’t have to. If the hot tub still has water in it, we’ll drain it on-site before we start moving anything. It adds a little time to the job, but it’s not something you need to sort out yourself. If you’ve already drained it, that’s great and it does help things move a little faster.
We coordinate the disconnection before any removal begins. In most cases, we’ll ask you to have the circuit switched off at the breaker ahead of our visit. If the hot tub has a hard-wired connection, we’ll walk you through what needs to happen before we start. We don’t move anything until we’re confident it’s been handled safely.
Yes, and this is one of the more common situations we run into. If the hot tub is recessed into a deck structure, we assess the best approach before we start and work carefully to get it out without unnecessary damage to the surrounding decking. If any deck sections need to come up to allow access, we’ll talk through that with you first.
We sort it. Components that can be recycled go to a recycling facility. The rest is disposed of through proper channels. We don’t dump illegally, and we don’t take shortcuts on this. If you want specifics about what happens to your unit, just ask us when we come out.
